While most basic obedience classes are group oriented, K9 Wellness Academy has learned that the majority of dogs are not familiar with basic commands and are extremely hyper around other dogs. This results in a lot of frustration for the owner and the dog. To mitigate this, I offer 1-1 lessons for 1 hour where you have our undivided attention. After graduating from one of our programs we offer group classes!
Basic Obedience Program
For dogs aged 6 months and older, this class focuses on essential foundational obedience commands, including sit, down, stay, come, and more. For an additional 2 classes, you can add on e- collar training to get your dog off leash! Pricing reflects the level of in-depth training your dog receives. We recommend mini educators and dogtra in our program.

Although it starts with concepts similar to puppy obedience, this class quickly progresses in difficulty, incorporating increased distractions and extended durations to challenge your dog.

Our basic obedience class is perfect for owners looking to confidently enjoy outings with their dog and create a calm, well-mannered companion at home.
Here is what we will cover in class

Walking controllably on leash with heel command

Our Class Policies
Age Requirement
All dogs must be at least 4 months or older to be enrolled in our programs and finished with their vaccinations.

Dogs must be on a training collar (dominant dog collar, slip collar, martingale, prong collar) in our basic obedience classes.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your lesson with a 24 hour notice, then we will reschedule your lesson. If there is no or less than a 24 hour notice then your lesson will be considered paid for.
Refund Policy
Behavior is not static. An animal will not continue to perform even trained behaviors without ongoing practice. Ultimately, your dog’s behavior is your responsibility. There are no money back guarantees or refunds once lessons have commenced.
